Advice for OSSC and a1200 (PAL) Workbench issue

Hey guys,

I'm struggling to get a decent desktop workbench display on my a1200. If I use DBLPAL/or/NTSC High res no flicker, the very top first 10 lines of the screen seem very distorted, leaning forward and wobbling. Also the whole screen seems to have a slight 'wobble'.

I'm using SCART into OSSC, it's a very high quality cable handmade from Amibay forum seller.

Any advice appreciated, cheers.

My advice to you; do not run DBLPAL or DBLNTSC into the OSSC via SCART.

The OSSC is a line doubler, so you can run PAL and NTSC into it and set it up for those.

If Reasons, and you really want to run 31kHz on the Amiga end, then you should use the VGA connector of the OSSC.

Thanks spud/jope, yeah I have read and analysed every amiga ossc thread in great detail. The VGA idea is something I have not tried yet so I may give this a shot. True - all games look beautiful without issues, as they run in standard PAL. But yes at times I like to run a higher Workbench res for IRC and the such. I will try a VGA cable and see how I go. Thanks.
