Amiga 1000 IDE Solutions

Does anyone know of an external IDE solution that can be plugged into the expansion slot on the right side of an Amiga 1000 that supports Autoboot?

I have a card that I purchased many years ago but it needs the IDEMOUNT command to manually mount it and transfer control from a floppy before it can be used.

I was hoping to find something that will autoboot when a proper Kickstart ROM + IDE device driver is present.

The Alfa Data Alfapower 500 might do what you need:

It can autoboot with 1.3+ rom(will likely need a real rom installed in the A1000). it is ide and works fine with CF adapters on the ide(works with 2 cf's).The 44 pin header is particularly handy for 44pin ide to cf adapters since it carries power to the adapter.

It is also capable of holding 8MB ram. There are 2 versions,one uses zip ram like the a3000 and the other takes standard 72 pin simms. since its made for the A500 the slant of the case will point toward the back of the a1000 and it does not have a pass thru zorro side port.

You can disable ram with the switch.
I hacked mine to get power from the amiga(only do this if using cf or sd card as a HD).

Another option is to build a 86pin to 100 pin zorro slot adapter and use a easier to find Buddha ide card from jens possibly,but i have not tried it.

Was hoping for a smaller solution similar to what I have now.. I already have internal memory so I dont need that feature.

Appreciate the feedback though.
