DCE: Flicker Magic screen modes

Currently have a DCE: Flicker Magic internal SD/FF in my a1200 and am running through a 21" Dell P1110 Trinitron Monitor.
Am running os 3.5 and was wondering if anyone can recommend the best screen modes to use (id does not support super72)
Pal interlaced modes display ok but show very tiny scanlines when moving cursor or dragging.

Any ideas appreciated!

The scanlines are the result of the flicker fixer buffering the display - this is unavoidable.

but i dont get this in non-interlaced PAL modes, are there no display modes that would give me say a 640x480 or 800x600 type display?

Exactly, the scandoubler have problems with the interlaced modes... You have to get a gfx card for bigger resolutions really.....

DblPal and DblNTSC should give you exactly what you're looking for, but a lot of monitors don't support them. As for the scanlines, Kriz is correct - you will only get scanlines in interlaced screenmodes - they are the only modes that flicker, so they are the only modes buffered by the flicker fixer.

It is not a problem with the interlaced mode. It is just because the way interlaced modes are fed to the scandoubler. First the odd lines. Then the even lines IIRC.
Because an object is moving it will appear to be falling apart because the even lines will be later.

The only way around that would be to design a scandoubler that can bob the incoming video, instead of weaving (which is what you're doing on all existing Amiga scandoublers). Then, while you'd have a tiny bit of vertical softness, all motion would be perfectly smooth with no 'mice teeth'.
