SystemPatch 3.1
When I have spare time I continue developing SystemPatch.
In this version I've fixed a mistake I made in the code that initializes the TLSF memory patches making that code not working. I've not tested this with WHDLoad; I know there is some problem with whdload and the memory patches of SystemPatch 3.0. I hope anyone can make these tests with SystemPatch 3.1. The TLSF patches seem to be stable but there is some software that makes illegal allocation/disallocation of memory and does not work with these patches(In_Go reassembler for example). I don't own any more an Amiga so I'm developing SystemPatch under WinUAE and it is not simple as on an Amiga to do debug and to find if my code fail by a my mistake or by a WinUAE bug. |

Great work ziosante, as always, I thought you've abandoned this project after the WHDLoad trouble
I'll do some tests in the next few days, thanks! |

I still dont know very well SystemPach is needed if I use OS3.9 without ROM patches, or if OS3.9 with ROM patches is faster and more compatible than OS3.9 with SystemPatch and without Patches Update or if 3.9 is faster without patches and rom updates at all.

Download and try SystemPatch, maybe it could run good for you. Install some benchmark program like p96speed and make some speed test with and without SystemPatch and you'll find if it is good for you. |

New beta version of SystemPatch 3.3
This is the new beta version of SystemPatch 3.3 build on 18 March 2008.
Hope some one can make some test and report to me if it is stable enough to upload it to Aminet. |

What is the status of TLSF at the moment?
I had heard Bernd had taken over development but I've heard nothing! Does it still break WHDload? Last edited by alexh; 18 March 2008 at 17:31. |

Bernd Rösch is the original author of UAE and current author of afa (Aros for Amiga)
http://amidevcpp.amiga-world.de/afaupload.php He supposedly took over from Chris Hodges who stopped development and is now calling it "memTLSF". But I've not heard of any releases. |

Sorry it took me 20 days to finally move my lazy ass and test the patch, but you know... cat's and all that...
The version 3.3 from your post #10 works great! |

I take it that it now works with WHDload with TLSF switched on?

Yup, seems so, at least in those few games I've tested.

Is TLSF activated? It's not just that it is now off by default?
