SAS/C 6.50 Compiler crash
Hi
I am restoring my system after a hard drive change and i have a problem with SAS/C 6.50: the compiler crash when try execute a make file. I tried delete the SC drawer and reinstall from original disks but the problem persists. I tried disable the accelerator card and , to my surprise, the compiler operates without problems and create the executable file. Therefore, ask me if is SAS /C 6.50 incompatible with 68030 systems? thanks |

welcome, SAS/C should work on 030.
you can start with a ram-test: http://amiga.resource.cx/install/M1230XA-101.dms MBRTest-2 ( disk does not autoboot ) http://aminet.net/package/util/misc/Amnesia12 Doctor Ami cleaning the expansion connector and pins with isopropyl alcohol is also a possibility. edit: a bit exaggerated for just one program not working, but i already wrote halve the text edit #2: there is sasc 6.58 on the fileserver - maybe more usefull than the ram tests Last edited by emufan; 11 March 2014 at 20:03. |

@AmiGuy:
try to increase the stack size first. Not sure about SAS/C but usually compilers need a lot of stack. Try 50000 or 100000. |

Sorry to restart an old topic... but I think I have the same issue with SAS/C 6.00 and WinUAE (recent version)
config1: 68000 2MB chip 8MB Fast => it compiles. config2: 68020 2MB chip 32MB Z3 Fast => freeze. So I put a stack of 100000 into the build icon. (icon that launchs sc:c/smake from the workbench) it compiles, but if I close a window on the workbench, it makes a guru 81000005 (corrupt memory list...) Is there an explanation on this strange behaviour ? note: the command smake from a shell compiles well in all cases... |

Thanks for pointing out the 6.58 version. I was having those crashes too and now it compiles great.
Cheers |
