Question Digital Sound Studio

I found a GVP DSS8 (Digital Sound Studio) interface and rca L/R audio leads with an A500. Unfortunately, there was no software in the box.
Does anyone know what software is required to use this interface?

It's a standard parallel port sampler. You either need the Digital Sound Studio software (which can sample in up to 56KHz), or a generic sampler package (Technosound Turbo, OctaMED, etc).

DSS8 software can be nabbed from PlanetEmu:

You just need some way of getting the ADF to the Amiga.

IMHO the best 8bit sampler available for amiga. You should calibrate DC offset (center Y axis) using GVPSampCtrl and set the lowpass filter with the same tool, according to the samplerate you are using (usually 1/2 of the sampling rate). Turn off your computer monitor while sampling will reduce some noise. Good luck.

Audiomaster may be another. I remember back in the day we had made a sampler and we used audiomaster to capture the audio. It would likely work for the GVP sampler.

Audiomaster is great. Audition is another alternative.

In case anyone would like to be saved the trouble of searching planetemu the download is currently at http://www.planetemu.net/?section=ro...wrom&id=515567

I have a DSS8... +? (clear case unit) haven't tested it yet. Picked it up out of a big pile of garbage cables at a flea market. Not sure which bin I threw it into, but I know I still have it
