Screenshot pack for KG Games Packs and iGame

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a pack of screenshots available for iGame that will automatically install into the right folders etc when using Killer Gorillas WHDLoad game packs? I am running ClassicWB ADVSP and the latest KG Games packs.

Many thanks in advance,

Ross.

Hi TCD,

Thanks for the link. It seems that the link to oddbods work is dead.

Thanks,

Ross.

Ah, sorry. You can still get the GB Amiga screenshots at http://gbamiga.elowar.com/TorrentTemp/Screenshots.7z

Edit : Someone should really redo this one according to OddBod's notes, so that we can host it on the file server.

Hi TCD,

Thank you have grabbed it, don't relish the idea of extracting the .iff files to the individual directories though!

Thanks,

Ross.

All the ClassicWB packs already have iGame screenshots included - you must be using an older version. I also optimized the colours and the size of the screenshots for the different ClassicWB versions (thnaks to OddBod and the gamebase guys for the originals):

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=46806

Plus the new packs released since December have a newer beta iGame version with the Alt scan bug removed.

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=46398

You can get the screen packs and the fixed iGame from the latest ClassicWB release. Screenshots may also be on the EAB file server:

Hi Bloodwych,

I am using the latest as far as I know, only downloaded it and started using it about 3 weeks ago or so. I have however had to edit the assigns because I have my Games and Demos split across two partitions, could this be the issue?

Regards,

Ross.

Hard to say rossb; depends on how you edited the assigns. iGame by default in the ClassicWB looks in the assign A-Games:, which can easily be edited from the Start/Settings menus like shown in the first video: http://classicwb.abime.net/classicweb/tutorials.htm

You can also change where iGame looks for games in the program itself.

When you installed the ClassicWB pack, you should have been given the option of installing artwork. If you said yes, look in the System:Games drawer - it will contain screenshots and you need to copy them to the new partition location as shown in the tutorial vid.

Hi Bloodwych,

Definitely remember taking the option to install the artwork, as it warned about size etc, will have a look and see if I can find it.

Regards,

Ross.

Hi,

I think I can see the problem. The iff files are all in the default CWB directories that are assigned to A-Games. I have however created two partitions DH1: and DH2: and split the KG Game packs across these. And then changed the iGame repository settings to look in here instead. However all the original iff files are still in the default locations. Is there an easy way (i.e script or similar) that will move the iff files to the corresponding directories on my new partitions? Don't really fancy moving them all manually!

Thanks,

Ross.

Just copy the Games drawers containing the iffs to the new location using Dopus. They all have the same directory names, so over-write the destination drawers and the iffs will be dropped into the game directories without changing the destination's contents.

This thread may be of interest: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=50039

Since you have split the games across multiple partitions, other launchers and scripts won't work as they are designed to use one assign only - A-Games:, which points to one location for all games. You can manually change this in the scripts by adding a second assign for B-Games:

Perhaps cosmicfrog, never given it any thought to be honest. Looks right.

Someone should try it out!

Hi Guys,

Thanks for that, will have a try later. I have edited the assigns so that iGame and the normal CWB Demos and Games menu pick up the correct partitions. will try and have a play with the add option as well as that would make life easier.

Thanks again!

Ross.
