Chrono Quest German Crack ?
Hi,
I recently had a look for interesting Amiga adventure games and stumbled upon Chrono Quest (Explora, in French). There seem to be both an English, as well as a German version. However, so far I have not been lucky to find a crack of the German version ? All I found is an IPF image of a German original, as well as a WHDLoad install (which asks for WHDLoad registration) Does anyone have a German crack of this game ? Or has anyone tried to use the scan of the box with protection overlay from HOL to give correct colour answers at the copyprotection screen ? I think English and German versions have the same box, so this might work ?! I don't think there is any additional disk-based copy protection in this game, other than the colour question, right ? Another question: Is there some tool on the PC side to 'extract' an ADF image from an IPF ? Or would I need to use X-Copy from within WinUAE to copy the IPF images to ADFs, so I can later transfer them back to real disks ? (should work when there is no disk-based protection, and I would like to play this on a real miggy ) Thanks a lot !! (as always...) |

Ok, thanks, I hope there will be no disk-based protection since there is already this colour question...
Thanks for the link to HOL, actually it was this image of the protection overlay, which gave me the idea to try and use the original Will try this later at night and let you know if it works |

@mai:
Thanks! But is there a site which hosts all the latest TOSEC Amiga images ? The well known ones all have older TOSEC stuff from 2006 or something... About Kyrandia: I had exactly the same problem, never had a German crack, so one very nice guy from this forum sent me an original German manual, which I used to finish the game Meanwhile, I got a cracked German disk #1 when I bought some Amiga stuff some time ago. The protection is a buit tricky since it asks for a word only after you enter the second level (and maybe even later again, cannot remember exactly ?!) |
