Since joining EAB.....
Since joining The English Board what is the best thing you have learned (within the Amiga scene)?
for me it's probably that i discovered that you can get the CD32 version (which is heavily updated) of Frontier: Elite II to fit on a floppy disk (with help from stingray) now that sounds pretty boring, i know, but Frontier was the last Amiga game that had me really hooked. It consumed my waking life and i have some great memories of it... infact i still play today i also liked to make up compilations of apps and games, i mucked about creating menus in AMOSPro, drawing icons in DpaintIV and using protracker to add some BGM so creating the Special Edition version in 2011 and going on to play a (new)old game is Amiga Heaven Last edited by Djay; 27 September 2012 at 11:13. |

Easy, WHDLoad
![]() ![]() Getting 'behind the scene' of many Amiga related topics, meeting the makers, and a lot more that happens here (e.g. lost games turning up, full shareware versions supplied by the authors etc etc). EAB seems like the place where it happens in (classic) Amiga terms, simple as that ![]() |

Best thing is easily the CF-IDE adapters and using CF cards as hard drives.

I discovered that there was a community of Amiga fans that actually had an opinion and passion about things. Rather than been told how to feel and what they think of things. A community of people that know how to have have a laugh. And a community that I know I can get reliable help and information from.

Learning about amiga HDDs and roms/wb after 1.3.
I never had any experience with either before joining here. I just had an a1000 with floppy disks and some extra ram "back in the day" (tm) |

I learned that I knew of only about half of the games that actually exist for the platform. I learned just how genius the hardware design was of the Amiga. I learned that Amiga users are persistent buggers!
And I finally learned what those flashing colors were when booting a cracked game ![]() |

I pretty much didn't know anything about the Amiga until I browsed this forum (which was way before I joined).
![]() I was the only person I knew with an Amiga other than my Uncle. Sad times. |
