Hi folks!
I am new here. I have the Ghosts 'n Goblins game from Retroplay from the zone here. Many thanks for that! But I have some questions how do I wrtite it back to the floppy? Can I play it on the real Amiga? I have read you can write it back to floppy but it is an extended Adf file. Is there any Tutorial to write extended Adfs back to disks? I have also Powercopy but I am unable to use it and I can't get into it... It would be nice if someone would help me or others so many thanks in advance! Greets Vossie |

i added two pictures, which may help a bit.
first extract the powercopy-game files to you harddrive. for each disk you have a folder with the track files (game/disk-1 // game/disk-2 ... ) within powercopy you select "DEVICE" and choose what i framed in RED. source is DEV and target "DF0" . then press "DEV PATH" and choose the folder for the first disk "game/disk-1". if done, press ACCEPT. on main screen push START if you have a second or third disc you have to repeat first steps and choose "DEV PATH" the second or third folder. i have no clue about special setting, but this is basicaly, how to write back those files. Edit: ohhhh. wwarp, not powercopy - well, i'll leave the things above, for later usage Edit2: i found the Retroplay upload ( zone: Ghosts'n'Goblins.zip ), and it has the powercopy files in the archive (GNGdsk.zip) so extract GNGdsk.zip on your HDD and choose within Powercopy "DEV Path" the folder "GNGdsk" Last edited by emufan; 13 September 2013 at 13:22. |

Hi ok many thanks. Great Tool it is! I only knew Xcopy from the early 90s. I have successfully wrote the GNGdsk files back in Winuae and loaded the disk in Winuae and it seems to work. I am not able to put the files on my Real Amiga 1200 hdd At the moment because i have accidently broken 2 pins of the ide connector a few days ago. I first have to get a new 2,5 Ide Hdd! By the way is there anyone who has one Hdd for me to trade? So I made a Pic of Powercopy and what do the numbers mean from track 66 to 79 is this normal?

Hi, ok thanks!
But which Compact Flash Card should I buy then? Are they all compatible or do I have to care of something? Last edited by Vossie; 17 September 2013 at 19:04. |

Has anyone else noticed how the JOTD-version has
[ Show youtube player ] (3:15) of flying knights on level 1 and the "good" version has the
[ Show youtube player ] (1:22)?

That's because it is on the FTP, not the Zone.

But what's going on with the wobbling effect?
Could this game be fixed so the "good" version gets the "no wobbling" treatment? |

Hi ok I found it! Thanks! I tried to write the game back on my real amiga with powercopy and the Tutorial from emufan (post #144 in this thread) but I had no luck! The game loads REALLY SLOWLY..... to the Logo of ghosts 'n Goblins than it crashed. I have tested it on an Amiga 500 and Amiga 1200 both the same result.
I have treid to copy the game 3 or 4 times with some other floppydiscs..... same result. (The Floppys are ok!) What I am doing wrong? Any Special Write Settings needed in Powercopy or Something else? |

i'm the guy which has imaged its original with powercopy. Before uploading, i wrote back the game on a fresh disk. The game runs perfectly on A500 and A1200 (aside the music player which has a problem on 680X0).
3 or 4 people on EAB have written back the game successfully. So the conclusion is easy : your floppies are bad or faulty or better your drive is not good. not special write settings are needed, since this game use almost normal tracks that any amiga drive can copy. |

late to the party, trying to find a ghosts n goblins that i can write to floppy from transwarp/hombre from my linux pc.
i got the file from the ftp at gamebaseamiga2/amiga 2.1, which loads great in winuae and other emulators but once i write to my a500+ it just refuses to even start is this the correct one? will go through a small stack of newold stock floppy disks to make sure it isnt my disks. |
