Especially as you would have had to travel back in time to be able to sell it then

Worst:

About 10 years ago I sold all my Amiga stuff. Including A1200, A500, A2000 + approximately 1200 floppies, 500 5-1/4 discs, 2 monitors, 12 books, etc.

Best:

Selling my "collection" has bugged me for years. I don't know why I was stupid enough to sell them, but can't be helped anymore. So about a year ago I bought A500 + monitor, and it all begun again My ultimate goal is to get back everything I once had + more, one way or the other.

That's a nice example but I wouldn't have paid over £150 personally.

6.2 is the last version with the OCS chipset before they moved onto ECS (6.3) Make sure you remove the onboard battery too! Mine had leaked on my rev4.3 board But they usually survive as the board is so farking huge

Very good contender for the worst deal ever. £237 for hardware worth just over £50.

Thought it was on the expensive side. Now if it had a 68060 in it or PPC it would of been a good deal. But I have A2000 with fusion 68040 in it and suspect I would not get that for mine.Even though I have probably spent more than that on it over the years.

Mine is a bit like Alexh's experience. I was working at Interactive studios (now blitz games), and they retired all their A4000's which the bitmap artists used. Got one with an 040 for £50. Doesn't end there though, a coleague said 'you still like those old things? my dad gave me one, i've never used it' said he'd drop it round. I assumed it was an A1200/A500. He asks me to help him up the stairs with it. It was an A4000T with a warp engine a picasso IV!

I gave the A4000D away to the first person who could collect it on amiga.org. I felt guilty after getting the T for nothing!

I felt stupid when I asked for an external floppy drive from a stewardess friend from somewhere Far East, only to find out (after she bought it and brought it to me) that it was an almost no-name one with price MORE than I would pay locally.

And I think my whole A4000/040 deal was bad. I didn't really "NEED" that computer. Of course back then things were still looking bright for Amiga and we thought we would have a real Amiga future (erm... not the way it is I mean).
