2 Button Joystick Question - Gloom - Page 3

Ok forget my last post, that's what happens when you test things out in an emulator!

The real results of using the modified pad with gloom on the real amiga, Button B fires, Button A and Button C do nothing.

The joystick in sega mode, 1 button makes you go forward and one fires.

I conclude, I do not think it is possible to side step in Gloom using a two button joystick as the instructions suggest. Pretty pissed off at that.

Any games I can try testing that really have A and B functionality? I would like to see after all if I modded the pad correctly.

Tried Blues Brothers, Great Giana Sisters, and Alien 3 and C is jump on the pad and and B is fire. On the stick the trigger is jump and the top button is fire.

Did the mod work on the pad? Seems I already had that functionality before only A was fire and B was jump.

And wtf is with the Gloom manual? I was so looking forward to side stepping my face off in that game.

Here is list, try something what map something else than just jump. E.g. in R-Type You have module control, which is [SPACE] on keyboard.

Tried Alien Breed 2 and a map is brought up using the extra button. I will give R-type a go also.

Tried Mortal Kombat (a game I never knew existed on the Amiga until recently hahaha), two button works really well with it.

Still pissed at the Gloom side stepping not working though, I wanted to side step my face off with that game!

anybody knows 2nd button works on gloom? on 2 button (not cd32) joystick?
