- This is the most desired Amiga board ever. - Price Vs Product has the best rate ever yet. - Two guys that are working on developement can't be soldering 50 boards a day. - People like to earn -a lot of- money easily with some others work. So appart of forgetting of soldering they should sell like someone commented at least 1 of every 10 boards on Ebay, just to avoid suckers there. Just my opinion. |

They should outsource it to China in large volumes and make a lot of dosh with the new pricing. A bit like the 1541ultimate creator does. Well deserved and a win-win for all of us.

Yes, and if the new pricing not only compensates them well, but also supports further development which might not otherwise be possible.. then a win-win-win

@dirkies and copse: for that they need cash to pay upfront. That's why they decided to go for batches of 100 cards only, after carefully confirming all orders with their customers.
Lack of cash make your idea impossible to happen... Unless if someone is volunteering to supply fresh and enough $$$ for that? I'm open to support... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I haven't had a chance to read all the posts here but would like to say that I hope kipper2k doesn't walk away from the project. I feel sad that there are people out there that can be so low and rotten so as to make a person feel so stressed and miserable that they no longer want to be a part of such a fantastic project. I suffer from severe anxiety myself, and know what this is like.
A previous poster mentioned that it would be cool if there was an option for a DIY kit version of the Vampire 2. This would be awesome. I love assembling and soldering my own electronic kits and this would be fun, plus it could be offered at a reduced price for those wanting to save some money. The only issue I could foresee with something like this is if someone not familiar with assembling electronics ends up stuffing something up and then cries for help from the Vampire 2 guys for support. I would love this to be a serious consideration. I'd get the best of both worlds, I'd get to enjoy putting something together myself and then enjoy the results. |

I just flashed my vampire 2 with the new core, shouldn't I have a FPU now? setpatch is up-to-date and 68040.library along with usual new, old, dummy files are in libs: This is what I get, is it normal?

'Gold' core means that integer functions have been tested enough to be considered stable. |

I see, thanks. Then no netsurf yet, as it wants a FPU, right?

There is a no-FPU build of Netsurf:
https://ami-soft.blogspot.dk/ I haven't tried it, but it is supposedly quite slow. |

That was helpful, thanks. It turned out that netsurf runs only on RTG or AGA display but I only have ECS, so no web for me

I would also like a post from Kipper, as he never answers any email. At the moment I have no idea if he is still in business and/or still building these cards. I also don't know what the actual price is now.

I only hope that he can feel that we will always keep thanking him and Majsta for what they are doing and maybe he can still have an internal motivation to keep working on this incredible project that has a lot to offer yet for Amigans like you and me.
An observation: You can see there are two more new hardware projects on development now. They are mostly receiving but strong language. At least that kind of posts has passed away in this development. Last edited by Retrofan; 29 October 2016 at 03:06. |

Thanks for that eXeler0 but it doesn't really answer the question I have, which perhaps has been answered elsewhere: Is Kipper still selling Vampires directly? What is the new cost? And is the process still, put money into his PayPal without any other order confirmation process?
