The onboard IDE isn't DMA, but it is at least close to the CPU.

IIRC the onboard IDE is expected to be updated via software/firmware at some point in the future to increase speed but for now it's just about what one would expect from IDE

I believe TF's eIDE is PIO4, faster than the A4000 motherboard IDE (which is PIO0 stock, upgradeable to PIO2).

PIO4 has theoretical 16MB/s but I imagine TF4060 will be lower.

I think TF1260, with eIDE driver in FastRAM, is about 6 MB/s to FastRAM

Is the IDE interface on this more or less the same as on the 1260 and the 536?

On another note, what's the benefit of the TF4060 compared to the likes of BFG9060 or the Z3660?

Inquiring minds would like to know.

The closest comparison can probably be made with the BFG9060.

The diff to that for the TF4060 is
+software adjustable clock speed
+ide controller

The Z3660 is a rather different beast, as it has a Zynq module socket for an FPGA/ARM expansion, which can do RTG and I believe also 68k emulation.

The optional Raspberry PI you can see attached the TF4060 is currently mainly there just for quick reflashes of the TF4060 firmware.

The Warp4060 will have a ton of features, but it is not quite ready yet. As far as I understood it, the feature set will be quite close to the Warp1260.

I think that for A3000 the TF4060 plays nicely with the onboard SCSI while many other cards have issues?
