hi mai
![]() well in my opinion it could be like you said there, no [a] since it is not needed to differentiate them, anyway i don't know much on how the [!] is/was used in many cases (like that [!], verified good dump for a cracked set), anyway is just my opinion and i guess you would prefer to read something from idoru or so ![]() |

Exactly
![]() Once I've done my current JAmiga changes I will start a thread for exactly that ![]() About the [a] tag : I would say since the first disk now has the [!] tag the others should be renamed accordingly ![]() |

Again an example from current TOSEC release.
Its because of renaming disk 1 and 2 accordingly. Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 1 of 2) Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 1 of 2)[a] Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr WOW] Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr WOW][a] Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr WOW][a2] Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 2 of 2) Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 2 of 2)[a] Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr WOW] Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr WOW][a] Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr WOW][a2] Description: Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 1 of 2) is cracked by "WOW" too, the cracktro has been removed from disk. I have tried to rename Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 1 of 2) to Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr WOW][m cracktro removed] but it seems to be a bad solution, because its not possible to rename disk 2 accordingly. I would prefer to rename to: Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr WOW][a3 cracktro removed] After renaming the disks it would be: Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 1 of 2) Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr WOW] Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr WOW][a] Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr WOW][a2] Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 1 of 2)[cr WOW][a3 cracktro removed] Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 2 of 2) Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr WOW] Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr WOW][a] Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr WOW][a2] Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988)(Buena Vista)(Disk 2 of 2)[cr WOW][a3] Please tell me, probably its always a good choice to rename all disks accordingly. If i would use "m cracktro removed", then it would cause confusing, because of the disk 2. I hope you know, what i mean. ....by the way this is a simple example, it seems to be much more difficult to rename, if there are different number of disk 1, 2 and so on, in this example its exactly the same number of disk1 and disk2. |

Hi mai,
wouldn't it be possible (and very easy to read for us) to have an updated list in a simple standard format (.txt, for example), containing all modifications by you and the other mates? You could place it at the beginning of this (or another) thread and keep updated. This way, all of us could get an immediate view of the modified names (and maybe help you with some titles), without the need of scrolling all the related threads ![]() The list could contain, for each title, the old name + new name + notes. [EDIT] I did something similar with my Workbench thread: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=41971 |

I would also rather use [a3 cracktro removed] than the [m] flag for this.
We just need to make a documentation about it in TNC because those are special conditions. There are alot more rare cases that need to be looked at again and discussed later. |

I need another info.
Is the Amiga games dat "Commodore Amiga - Games - [ADF] (TOSEC-v2006-10-19_CM).dat" the right place for games, which were part of a game compilation, or should this disks be moved to Compilations/Games. Example: Rock'n Roll (1989)(Rainbow Arts) was part of "5th Anniversary" http://hol.abime.net/3880 Please tell me, also advanced Tosec experts. |

hi mai
![]() i'm not sure in this one too, maybe it would be better for idoru to answer on where is the better place to put those sets, anyway maybe they can be in "Amiga - Games - [ADF]" for now until someone points the correct place for that, what you guys think about it? ![]() |

Then the disk(s) get [more info] flag, so it would be:
Rock'n Roll (1991)(Rainbow Arts)[5th Anniversary compilation] |

Again i stumbled over a very special disk:
Pinball Wizard v1.0 (1987)(Kingsoft)[b overwritten files] Who needs such a garbage, why TOSEC collect such definitelly useless disks? |

the idea is to document what is around the web (of course not trying to spread garbage that someone creates just for making dats grow), i don't know anything about that file and i suppose it can't be launched.
My view is that it is on the dats so people that download pinball_wizard.adf could identify correctly what they got, and then probably delete it and get a good version, its not our fault that collectors want to collect all :S Anyway i think it's not that bad to have information of bad images that were floating around and are very common, at least it avoid people coming across them from time to time and reporting them as a new file that could be added to DB. Also we could provide tools or dats excluding some flags for people that just want to collect the good images, like excluding b/o/u/v or some other flag at will ![]() |

Something special
I have just found a TOSEC set, what i have not seen before.
Kick Off 3 (1994)(Anco)(AGA)[cr DLM][h GIN][o][HD].adf Awful, the set has been added to the last TOSEC dat. What is it, what would you think? Ok, take a lha-archive, add suffix "adf" and provide TOSEC. ![]() |
