As a result of my letter to the author of "Toado" - J.Wills called me today...

Good news... Jim still has his Amiga A600 together with a few floppy disks - although as is usually the case it is all stored up in his loft.

He is very confident that he still has a full version of his game Toado on floppy and has agreed to send it to me!!
I explained in my letter that we have only ever been able to find the Demo version.

I will of course share the full game in the Zone and put a copy of the ADF on the EAB Server as soon as I receive it.

Jim told me that he gave up the Amiga scene shortly after Commodore went bust. He is quite amazed that people are still using Amiga's and is keen to have a play with WINUAE by the sound of it...

He has stressed that it may take some time to get up into the loft and sort things out but I guess we have waited quite a while to get this game back so to wait just a little while longer wont seem so bad... I will update here as soon as I receive the game...

WHOHOO! After 8 (!!) years, another miracle has happened!
Thanks sooo much! (Just stumbled on it by accident in the zone)

Peter, may I call you "Amiga Deity" now?
(or at least Sir Peter )

And another huge thanks must go to Mr. Wills for the excellent co-operation!
(No, it's nothing you can take for granted these days, considering the time span involved!
Some would just go "leave me alone with that old stuff, let alone that I have no time for that, goodbye". Or else, they'd simply ignore your e-mails.)

Hi Andreas - yes, sorry I forgot to update this thread with so much going on in the other thread... Jim Wills is a really nice guy to speak to - he was happy that we were still interested in his game and he was very pleased with the Hall of Light entry for Toado (click here to see) that TCD and Cody created - check it out, I think they have done an excellent job...

Anyway get playing Toado! - I can only get to level 12 so far before things start to get a bit quick for me - it's the little Pumpkin that gets me every time - I haven't even seen the little Evil Dead like Chainsaw yet...

Let me know how you get on with the game - maybe we cold have a mini competition as part of the EAB/Lemon Super League - I will put it forward next vote...

It's great to have the game back!

"Nice one"? This guy is a MADMAN!
Plays thru levels 12-20 as if it was nothing at all!
Maybe he's one of the folks that dream in video games at night already...

I really watched with my mouth open for quite a moment...let alone that he didn't lose ANY life up to level 10 ... say, what's a real challenge for you? Xenon II without autofire? Blood Money with neither cheats nor autofire? Or what about Green Beret on the C64?
