Honestly, I don't know.

Really running out of decent games worth adding though... I'm still amazed that sometimes I manage to put together new Update Packs these days.

One category that my collection lacks is "Sports Management" games; there are currently zero...

This is due to me hating these type of games; I'd rather watch grass grow than play these

Anyway, if you guys could give me a list of essential "Sports Management" games then I guess I can add... not that I'll ever play them myself

Maybe not sport management, but I do not remember to see Doman and Franko in Your collection. Also few days ago I try to play Uridium on A1200 config. What exactly mayhem mode is?

Both games are rubbish IMHO.

Same as Street Hassle; which I had back in the day on my C64.

No idea.

I did notice that Uridium 2 will work on AGA. Are there any enhancements i.e. so is it worth adding it's own A1200 configuration?

Speedball 2 is in collection; though this is hardly what I'm referring to when I say Sports Management...

The Championship Manager games are classic and the thing is still going very strong under the Football Manager franchise.

I've never played Tracksuit Manager myself, but many people like it as well.

Alright so I got it installed and starting looking into it. First impressions are thus, and I'll update this post with feedback as time goes on as I think of it.

Before Starting Any Software: Bountiful Bouncing Checkered Boing Ball Batman! Just shy of 45Gigs of HD space! That first post's facts are a bit outdated it seems.

Actually trying a game out: The scanlines look surprisingly good, while I will probably turn them off, or at least tone them down, they are even and clean. Game looks and runs great with a bit of testing, no noticeable visual issues. Only tried one game, but will have to go through all of them to see which ones I'll actually play, might discover a few I never thought to look at.

Actually the only complaint I have isn't the fault of the collection or really the settings (as for gameplay they are sublime), the WinUAE F12 menu is too large in full screen to access even the quit button. Minor gripe I know but that's the feedback so far. Still utterly impressive so far and can't wait to really dig into this and set this magnificent base up to my own personal tastes. Seriously no amount of "well done" can be enough with this so far.

CTRL-F11 Quits without using F12..

Scanlines are personal choice, you can remove them if you don't want them

Yes, in the 1st post it initially says "The collection is 6.32GB WinRAR'd and 11.90GB uncompressed".

...but just below that there are updated statistics:

Any options I've set can be changed in one of two ways.

The first via NotePad++:

Turn off "Scanlines":
Change "gfx_filter_scanlines=50" to "gfx_filter_scanlines=0".
Change "gfx_filter_scanlines=25" to "gfx_filter_scanlines=0".
Change "gfx_filter_scanlines_rtg=50" to "gfx_filter_scanlines_rtg=0".
Change "gfx_filter_scanlines_rtg=25" to "gfx_filter_scanlines_rtg=0".

Turn off "Onscreen LEDs":
Change "show_leds=true" to "show_leds=false".
Change "show_leds_rtg=true" to "show_leds_rtg=false".
The second via "Host" --> "Autoload":
I really need to put this second option in the 1st post... [now done]

To be honest, you never really need to go into the GUI.

Just learn these Important Keys and your life will be easier

...but saying that, if you do press <F12> and go into the GUI, you can scroll the GUI by moving the mouse up, down, left, right at the screen edges.

It would be cool if adjustable scanlines & leds were able to be enabled/disabled via winaue directly.

I know Toni won't do this... I asked for a shortcut key to enable / disable LEDs many moons ago, and the answer was no.

Just do this and you don't need to adjust any configuration files:

I'm sorry, but that is incorrect... Toni never said no to the "BoxArt" panel.

For many years I wanted to ask for this feature, but never did as I assumed it would be an instant no...

One day, you put forward the suggestion. Hence this thread: Adding Boxart to WINUAE Configs

Toni worked on and perfected this

I rewarded him handsomely by donating ÂŁ400 i.e. ÂŁ200 whilst he was implementing, and another ÂŁ200 upon final completion.

I did this as it was a feature that I always wanted... with it's implementation WinUAE is much better IMHO. It really improved the look / feel of my collection, and is ultimately what led me to releasing into public

I think the two features need to be reconsidered. Its painfull to have to edit uaes to do what emulation can do easily with an option in winuae gui.

In addition to these, I just remembered World Championship Boxing Manager, which was a funny little manager game.

...but there are options in the GUI:

Scanlines:
... Go to "Filter", change the "Extra Settings" drop down "Point/Bilinear" to "Scanline opacity" and then set "0".
... Repeat the above with "RTG" selected instead of "Native".

Miscellaneous:
... Untick "Native on-screen display" and "RTG on-screen display".

You're talking about keyboard shortcuts to enable / disable both of the above.

Anyway, doing this is very simple and only requires creating / setting one configuration file under "C:\WinUAE\Configurations\Host".

Input panel -> map something -> custom event -> "show_leds=[1-show_leds]" will toggle leds on and off. Any config entry (that also supports uae-configuration) can be modified using custom events.

Here you go ransom1122, I'm make it very easy for you

Just download this file and extract into "C:\WinUAE\Configurations\Host".

Afterwards:
  • Start WinUAE and select "Host".
  • Click on "No Scanlines & No LEDs" and then click "Set".
  • Tick "Autoload" and then "OK"

Now you can use my original configuration files and never need to edit any using NotePad++
