Thanks... seems so small.. I was thinking at least a 32Gb SD card. I am pretty sure I have an 8Gb CF card and CF-IDE lying around too....

You might want to add these to unpack on Amiga folder.

Thanks for your good work. For all with a 4 GB CF-Card .... you can put the whole Packages on it. Simply use XFH (and the xpkGZIP-Compressor) and sort out all Double Titles (For example one for ECS, AGA, CDTV, CD32, Foreign Languages ....). If you sorted it out you have ALL the nice Stuff on a "tiny" 4 GB CF. I´m using a 3,7 GB Partition for WHDLoad and have 833MB left after Compressing the WHDLoad-Bundles.
http://aminet.net/package/util/pack/XFH http://aminet.net/package/util/pack/xpkGZIP Compressing once takes some Time (even with UAE) but unpacking should be quiet fast. 1,5 mb/sec. Last edited by ProfDrLuigi; 18 February 2018 at 18:19. |

3.1 update package on the FTP now. Let me know of any mistakes.
Please note to delete these 3 games from your 3.0 package and get them from the UnpackOnAmiga folder instead: BatmanTheMovie1Disk BatmanTheMovie2Disk Mystical I tested my updater (see first post), going from 3.0 to 3.1, and it works just fine, even though the instructions when you run it shows 2.* examples. |

These should also be moved to UnpackOnAmiga folder:

Apart from whats already been listed in the 'Unpack on Amiga' section, I had trouble deleting the following games/demos when extracted on Windows. It's because most of them contain '.' at the end of some of the files. I think they also need to be in the 'Unpack on Amiga' section.
Builderland_v1.0a_1923 DragonScape_v1.1 PurpleSaturnDay_v1.1_0562 Puzznic_v1.3_0041 Racter_v1.0 Supremacy_v1.1_1384 TownWithNoName_v1.0_CDTV Ultima5_v1.2_0785 Uninvited_v1.0 Wanted_v1.1_2619 EargasmTunes_v1.00a_Silents If RetroPlay or Turran could confirm these ? |

Yes, either garbled graphics, black screen or broken files when extracted Windows side.
As I have said numerous times before, never ever extract Amiga lha/lzx archives in Windows even though they seem to extract fine. There's just too many negative side effects resulting in "false" bug reports regarding WHDLoad in this matter. For instance, Ultima5 extracts fine in Windows but in-game graphics are messed up unless properly extracted Amiga side. |

This means that we have a lot of games in the UnpackOnAmiga folder and I no longer see any reason for this pack to be honest. Just grab Retroplays entire folder and unpack it all on the Amiga instead.
When starting this, I did not think it was that many. So I'll probably leave 3.1 as the last version. Next step would be a script that runs on the Amiga to automatically extract all the games. Then you can store it on an HDF or something instead and perhaps we can release that as a new pack. Or perhaps I can just do just that in DirOpus. |

While testing this, and it looks good, I'm questioning why you would need this. Its very simple to just download Retroplays full pack and extract it yourself..
Does anyone see a need for a .hdf file with all the WHDLoad games and demos ready to go on it? For emulation, sure, its convenient, but for your real Amiga, you have to remove the HD, put it in the PC, run WinUAE, mount it and the .hdf file with the WHDLoad pack on it and copy what you want across. In that case, you might just as well extract what you want from Retroplay directly instead. Previously, you could copy the games over the network to the Amiga. At least, that is what I did. So not sure what good this does really. Last edited by Turran; 22 February 2018 at 17:48. |
