Binary Nations sounds a little too clean cut for me. And like Graham i certainly wouldn't like to see anything cute!
ItchySnatch is a name i was considering to use for an Amiga News website i wanted to make. Excalibur is another word i like the sound of. Told my wife i want our first child to be named Excalibur. her reply "umm.. no" Retro Rhetoric? |

Maybe. Excalibur Software, perhaps? It does have a bit of a ring to it I think. Not keen on the others to be honest but that one I'd throw into the 'consider' pile. |

This all reminds me one book from Terry Pratchett where a rock band was searching for their name. And the same scene in his another book, where this problem had a group of motorbikers So I suggest "Lost Identity"

How about tEAmB
Could make a neat logo, EAB connection, bit like team17, self deprecating, cheesy as fook. |

Okay, I do have a more serious suggestion inspired in equal parts by your mention of 'Divide By Zero' and by the dwindling members of the 'hardcore' who maintain an astonishing degree of enthusiasm for using the Amiga platform and indeed programming for it: Remainder Software!

I like this one too! Weirdly, I was thinking of Amiga-related terms earlier I could potentially use and I actually thought of that one. I think that's a cool name for an Amiga group and I'm surprised it hasn't been used before. It's between these two for me now I think. Thanks guys, it's going to be a tough choice to make! |

Guru remainder? Anyway - someone will have to suggest a logo as well. I think it doesnt have to do anything with the name itself, though.

I think I'm going to opt for Remainder Software Guru Meditation Software is perhaps a little bit of a mouthful... but it was a very hard choice. Thanks to everyone who came up with a suggestion and thus did a better job than me
Now we need a logo |

I will send you a PM, Graham.
(possible) bug report: the pause key is a little tricky -- does not react to good -- sometimes the game stopps shortly and then continues ... Last edited by Predseda; 23 March 2012 at 11:48. |

I did think it might be better abbreviated to RemSoft, but a quick Google search showed that it's already used by a number of companies, and we wouldn't want to fall foul of trademark registration regulations. Quote:
I know that's not very imagininitive, but the only other thing I could think of was to superimpose the above logo horizontally across a line drawing of a radar screen in the same colour as the lettering. It's up to the creator, of course, but if you should opt for the radar screen idea, let me know and I'll create a quick mock-up drawing and scan it to illustrate what I mean. |

Reminder is better than Remsoft. I have just drawn smtg and sent to Graham for comments, but the idea with the radar looks to be really nice. As I said before - I think that the various logos (and the same name) could be used for various games.

I would like to use one word only, but without 'software' it looks that Remainder could be the name of the game.

I don't think Remainder Software would look too bad splashed across a radar screen if it is allowed to extend beyond the circumference on both sides, say by between ¼ and ½ the diameter. |
