Nah, couldnt use iGame since it is using MUI and doesn't support joystick-only control (or atleast thats what I thought).

Sorry to keep dropping you snippets of info instead of the actual software but...
Did a lot of work on this the other night. I've now fully implemented the setup.ini file which allows you to: - Define custom paths for: skin, database, screenshots, boxart - Define an infinite number of game paths - Define a skin each skin directory contains a skin.ini file which allows you to: - Define whether to display following screen items: screenshot, boxart, title, gameinfo, buttons - Define position of following screen items: screenshot, boxart, title, gameinfo, gamelist, buttons - Define size of following screen items: screenshot, boxart - Define height of: gamelist I've also implemented error checking which outputs any errors to an error.log file. If any of the settings in the setup/skin.ini file point to a non-existant directory or are out-of-bounds for the screen positioning they will revert to defaults I have specified. Example: If skin specified does not exist it defaults to the skin 'kgload' Any errors of this sort will be reported as warnings in the error file but the program will continue to execute. Any errors which are considered fatal (missing libs file, missing skin dir) then the errors will be written to file and the program will be closed. Well, that too, but more importantly - to use any 256 colour palette in the selector and for the pictures

Well the palette is defined by the background image, so you can set that to whatever you like. I don't specify anywhere in my code what the palette is.
Currently the colours for the text/selector are set as index values from whatever the background palette is. I shall add another couple of variables to the skin.ini so you can choose which index value they take. I'll add new settings for: TitleTextForeground TitleTextBackground InfoTextForeground InfoTextBackground ListTextForeground ListTextBackground ListTextSelectedForeground ListTextSelectedBackground ButtonsTextForeground ButtonsTextBackground NOTE: My pallette is probably the best you are going to get.
