that's not a bad idea! :P although it shouldn't be restricted to Toasters, but all Amigas host demos, artwork, animations toaster stuff

I had to raise some hell to get that Amiga Toaster source-code released. I don't think even that would have happened otherwise.

Hello everyone!
For more than 10 years I've been searching for a plugin called something like'object replace', mentioned in Dan Ablan's Lightwave Power Guide. He describes it as it being part of LW installation, however I havent been able to locate it anywhere. The plugin can load/replace a sequence of OBJECTS per frame (eg having sequential numbers loading per frame or 10s of frames, like timecode or the seconds of a clock, instead of having to load manually each obj after each frame renders). Has anyone seen/used it? If yes, I'd be very grateful if u could share it! BTW, I stumbled upon anothe 'object replacement' plugin called LOD. It is still online here: http://amber.rc.arizona.edu/lw/lod.htmlYou may want to add it to the list... The LOD archive also contains the source code, so it could help as an example into maybe coding a new 'obj replace' plugin?? Just a wild thought... |

Hi Emufan!
Yes, that's the one, it should be in the installation CD of LW 5.0 Here is a list of the plugins that should be there (according to this link http://www.amigareport.com/ar407/feature2.html: Equation LWpanels Globsave MotionEffector InheritRotation JitterMotion MathMotion ParentBone ParentCamera ParentLight ObjList ObjectSequence DisplacementMapEffector LazyPoints MetaMation Blotch CelShader Checker ColorCube HSLColorCube NormalColor SurfBlurShader StoryBoard FilmExpand 4XStoryboard ImageList MotionDump AllBGLayers Arn_calculate BoundingBox Cage Calculate Center Center Center1D CenterScale CenterStretch CutCurves Envelopes ImpSurf3D Julienne LightSwarm LoadFonts MathMotion NextEmptyLayer PathToMotion Platonic Plot1D Plot2D PointCenter PolyEdgeShaper Donut Wedge SplineCage RandomPoints Gear RandPricks RotateAnyAxis RotateHPB SceneToVRML Stipple SuperQuadric Symmetrize TextCompose TextCurve Throw Toroid Translator3DOptions VRMLAutoSave VRMLSave Wedge Add-Metaball AutoPatcher AutoPatcherMK BGConform Converge_Points Fast-Triple-Fan Fast-Triple-Traverse Make_DoubleSided MakeSpikey MetaBalls MetaForm2 Points2Polys TriangleFan TriangleStrip Power-Texture PowerView RandPoints Reduce-Polygons Rest-On-Ground Rotate-About-Normal Rotate-Arbitrary-Axis Rotate-To-Ground Rotate-To-Object Spherize Squarize SurfFuzzShader Weave ZOR BlurFilter Convolve Emboss Gamma Negative NightVision NTSC_Legalize PAL_legalize PENELLOlite Sepia SpecialBuffer SurfBlurFilter SurfFuzzFilter VidNoise Vignette Watermark AVI savers FLIC saver Last edited by muadib25; 24 November 2013 at 21:35. |

i added LOD to the list on page #1 and to the eab-server.
i have been looking for ObjectSequence - w/o luck. on the videotoater 4.3 cd, i found: OBJACCES.P // OBJLIST.P // OBJTEST.P all can be added with layout. OBJLIST is a replacement plugin, once called from object-panel, it ask for a objlist.txt file - and in Option-panel -> generic-plugins-> ObjectLister. some infos of the choosen object. ObjectAccess can be added to modeller too - but i cannot find a new entry related to "ObjectAccess". i'll have a look for other lw5 packages. here an example for the objlist.txt file (long usenet-posting) : Quote:

Edit: test with ObjList plugin does not work - see attached picture. i tried the file-format above, but then lw tried to load the comment line starting with "'#". then i removed the line: Quote:
there is a reference to a file called lw-lrefs - not much info available - described as an undocumented file. Last edited by emufan; 25 November 2013 at 20:17. |

Darn!
I have these OBJACCES.P // OBJLIST.P // OBJTEST.P plug-ins, haven't tried any except Objlist.p but not as thoroughly as you did. Good work indeed! Never mind if it doesn't work. I was THAT close yesterday to writing to Dan Ablan for more info about that plug-in... but I doubt he has all this old software. Our only hope is other users that still have LW5.0 original and Newtek! Or even Hastings perhaps? He works at Luxology developing Modo... Also, looking at the code of LOD.p, I think it would not be very hard to code our own ObjectSequence.plugin... Alas, I know very little about C a.t.m... |

if you are in the mood, write him an e-mail - for sure he will give exact information - maybe a hint on how-to use the objlist.p plugin.
since he seems involved in lightwave since amiga days, he could have something, we can add to our list - do not ask, i would suggest, he will know if he has something to share edit: one more try and now it does work (plugin objlist.p: layout object panel -> Obj Rep Plug-ins -> ObjectList) Quote:

Thanks!
With out the serial number you can render 10 times then the program starts working. Supposedly when you install Composite Studio it displays a serial number then you call the company and they give you the serial number for your system, |

i found a crack/patch for "Composite Studio Pro 2" - it is the same as used by "WipeStudio 1.2" .
load "HF-WSR.LHA" from "~Uploads/emu/VideoToaster/WipeStudio_v1.2/". extract and place the files "reg" and "def1" into: "cstudio2/data/" - replacing the original files there in the original "reg" file they mention WipeStudio - and i recalled a crack for this - so i just tried and it seems working Last edited by emufan; 28 December 2013 at 20:02. |

Can you upgrade 1.1 to 2.0 and still have Quick Brush 4000?

my CStudio2 installations is missing some files, so i cannot test - have the re-install, dunno what went wrong here.
i uploaded the folder into the zone. try to open some of them with toasterpaint. they look corrupted when i open with a picture-viewer. so they are just images. cs1.1 has an option to load "brushes" - "circle icon, right from "images" - this loads such brushes and places them into the canvas. i guess cspro2 can handle them too, maybe just as a normal images. edit: my cstudio2 does work now again, re-installed. you can choose in 2.x "brushes" too. on main screen click on "images" and a submenu with "brush" "image" "sequence" ... entry pops-up and you can choose the QuickBrush files. btw: for those using winuae. the installation writes some files with the pipe "|" in filenames. i'm not sure, winuae filesystem (when choosing windows-folder as harddrive) does handles them correct. it's adviced to install those things on a hardfile with native amiga-filesystem, PFS3/FFS.
