Indeed with age comes wisdom, and the arrogance to render the wisdom completely useless. So stay young!

Not really, you need to bring your microswitched quickshot python 1M to the next user group meeting to see if I can break it.

PMSL!!!!!

funny... btw that joystick is perhaps the "Most Crappy" micro-switch joystick there is!!!!

of course there are worse but these are leaf-spring affairs that only make a noise once and that is to go "tink" followed by "Ahh f*ck Bollocks, Arse Touching Monkey Balls", ".... joystick is broke.."

my favourite was qoickjoy II turbo - it was like soviet WWII tank - cheap, simple & could be repaired by anyone armed with stick and piece of rope

I had more advanced quickjoy once (do not remember the name) but after a week one of its billion autofires jammed in position "on"... well, at least it looked good on shelf

Yeah I have both the original and the microswitched version. The original one broke with those rubber pads, so I fixed those rubber pads with super glue making them much stronger than factory and it's been fine since. This time to break it the same way one would have to destroy the chassis.

Gotta admit upgrading to the microswitched one made those half-turn fighter games easier.

Also on the plus side, the pythons were not "handist" against left handers unlike some other crappy joysticks.

I inherited one of these joysticks from my Amiga (w)hording. suffice to say i tried it briefly and filed it under 'crap joystick'

classic clicky yellow/black competition pro if i must have a joystick... tho i never have the need these days.

btw, i see nothing wrong with people who lean into joysticks, push too hard, o flick a joypad up when pressing buttons... it just shows the person playing is too interested in the game, and comfortable with the controller.

I don't know why...but that sounded abit sexual, with "wrapping your hand around a large base...very responsive Python" and so on. Certain members of this board may get excited.
