Help with A1200/BPPC/060/Mediator - Power issues?

Edit - this appears solved after a PSU swap! Now just to figure out how to get my SCSI CD-ROM working...

Hey friends, I've been struggling to get my towerized A1200 working as expected. The symptoms are basically that a laser mouse sometimes works and sometimes does not. I notice that the more things connected which draw power = mouse fails more frequently. Particularly fans and/or CD-ROM.

I've tried two different A1200 motherboards - one 2B and one 1D4. These motherboards both seem to work in my A1230 setup without Mediator.

I should note that aside from the Mediator itself, I have /no/ PCI cards. I have the onboard IDE terminated. There is no floppy drive.

Once I get these (apparent) power issues figured out, I could use a hand understanding what the BPPC early boot menu options actually mean, and I'd love some help getting the SCSI CD-ROM to work as expected. Please let me know what info I can provide here to help.

For what it's worth, I have ordered a new PSU which will be delivered tomorrow, but on the off-chance this is not a power issue I figured I'd start a thread here asking for help.
