Cavitas
There is a version of Cavitas circulating which does not work on emulators or a real Amiga.
Codetapper is pretty sure that there may be something wrong with the ADF. It's probably from an original, but it includes some MFM stuff and probably wasn't dumped properly. This version stops on the titlescreen, showing a cockpit and pilot. Does anyone have a proper crack or an original? Ian: Removed Screenshot Last edited by Ian; 03 November 2001 at 16:31. |

Hope that clears it up... Techies: Game has a step track loop counting to 82, possibly extra data past track 80 but I haven't disassembled this game enough yet... |

To bring some light into the Darkness ...
As I did some tests on the posted ADF I found something interesting .....
At the bootscreen with the pilot, the game seems to be "caught" in an endless loop on adress $C10D68 !! Second thing I found out is, that CAVITAS seem to be original on 2 Disks !!! I found this in the source of the adf : "ã5a 4 ƒInsert †J' Disk 2 ‡Ó<" So maybe, in the loop, he waits for the second disk ?? |

This game is using a funny protection, if you copy it, the objects mask is desactivated lol
it means you can move in the "cavitas", but impossible to opens doors, get new options, etc..... |

Yeah, it's either WHDLoad or SPS images if you want to play it.
You need a registered WHDLoad for this game btw. |

I'm afraid you're out of luck then.
Unless somebody knows how to crack it properly. |

Just tried this game and couldn't pick up items I was using the .IPF file. Figured out the issue, you cannot increase floppy drive emulation speed. Posted on this poor guys YouTube video as he was experiencing the same issue: [ Show youtube player ] |
