RH800C Compact Flash format out of memory

I have a working Rh800c controller with a 210 mb connet ide hd. I would like to use a CF card via IDE adapter.

When I format the cf card usi the Roctec formatter tool it work fine cylinder by cylinder but at the end, after initialization it fails with "not enough memory"....

The CF card is only 64MB large and I have 3MB of ram....any idea?
thanks

You shouldn't do full format of a CF card. It only takes a lot of time and destroys the card's ability to do wear levelling and garbage collection. Select quick from the menu before you format.

"out of memory" seems to be the only message it knows, it says it for all kinds of errors.

You can just save partition data to disk, reboot and format partitions from Workbench. Remember to use quick format. (With WB 1.3 the Quick option is only available from the Shell).
