Would love to try Fusion, but at this current stage, nobody can actually purchase or even try a demo version Yes, it's great that it has better compatibility than ShapeShifter but... without any means to purchase well |

I do not understand why waiting for FPGAArcade gets better core since most of the users (if not all) would use the Fusion on real Amigas. Its already been years of waiting and it can take many more...

I'm guessing that the Fusion code is very tightly connected to the Amiga hardware?
There's not a very good solution for emulating Classic Mac's on PC's these days. Basilisk II doesn't even come close to cutting it. |

That's a 20 year old DOS application. Not very useful I'm afraid. I'm after a modern emulator that runs on macOS.

Because this is 2020 and like it or not, FPGA emulations are mainstay now and I had to make special code for handling FPGA based features. I created the new core around these features. |

@Jimdrew
We do not want to give the feeling that you feel pressured, but as you can see, there are many of us who are hoping to be able to buy FUSION legally for a long time. Why don't you put the new version with .iso support on sale now and later, an update with the optimized code for FPGA when the implementation of MMU will be available in the FPGAArcade? Please don't feel attacked, it's just a suggestion. |

just use the Fusion Hardfile on ShapeShifter and what are you doing poking around in A-max code anyway.

On PC there is "SheepShaver" that works well and you can emulate MAC-OS9 too. |

Scanning using Fusion Emulator
Hi Everyone,
I'm interested in using Fusion to scan film with a Leafscan Ls-35, Ls-45 under Fusion with an Adobe Plugin. Does Fusion work with SCSI Scanners? I have a A2000 with :- Impact A3001 https://bigbookofamigahardware.com/b...3001_6_big.jpg 25Mhz 68030 A4008 https://bigbookofamigahardware.com/b...t.aspx?id=1196 Kickstart 3.1 Roms if that matters. Regards John |

Yes, FUSION works with all known SCSI devices. I actually used several flatbed scanners, including a large bed HP scanner.

Hi @JimDrew,
I've got another question. I recently built this Zorro III card https://gitlab.com/MHeinrichs/Zorro-LAN-IDE It has some very nice features including a Fast Ethernet port that really deserves the name. The driver (and its source code) are to be found in the driverupdate branch of the git repository mentioned above in the directory 'driver/baxnet'. While working nicely with the different TCP/IP stacks on the Amiga, the driver isn't recognised by FUSION if I put it in the respective settings field. On the Mac side's TCP/IP control panel I then get the message that 'Ethernet' is no longer available and therefore removed from the selection. This is regardless of whether the driver is already used on the Amiga side or not. I'm using MacOS 8.1 and the Opentransport 1.3.1 update. I know that people are experiencing similar issues with, e.g., the popular X-Surf cards. However, I've been able to use a Realtek 8139 card in my Mediator successfully with FUSION as well.as being able to setup nullsana.device (from Aminet) on the Mac side Is there anything that can be done about the situation? Does the driver have to implement a certain feature that's often left out? Or is the Roadshow SDK used in compiling the newer drivers problematic? Thank you very much and best regards, Torsten Last edited by torsti76; 22 May 2020 at 08:44. |

http://aminet.net/package/comm/tcp/vlink I remember using it back in my 68K Amiga days for connecting from Mac side and it worked fine with MiAmi. |

I'd like to keep Roadshow, though, because of its performance... |

Can you explain what you mean by this? Does FUSION give you an error message or something? FUSION just does a standard device driver Open() with the unit passed in. If the device driver fails to open then it would report an error (fail to start the emulation). |
