For the text yes, but it's not to be shown with that background. As said before, we're using the ST version.
But for a mysterious reason DPaint ST says image is damaged and can't load it properly so i don't know what to do now. Quote:
And for a mysterious reason, the water animation is more fluid on my version than on this video where it looks, errh, buggy. Maybe that's just me syncing everything to vblank but i'm already better than the original ST version Quote:
Orange texts in the intro e.g. have a red shadow. |

...maybe wrong emulator settings were used in the video shown; I've noticed that the full screen is not displayed. Yeah, noticed the intro text shadow, but am sure it looks better in real life |

Of course my version will be hard drive only, like the others. And multitasking, which isn't that easy here because it has a strong tendency to eat 100% cpu busy-waiting for some timer... Quote:
But the game used 200Hz system timer for timing rather than vblank so glitches are quite likely. The guy with the video missed something important : Libitina having her wicked way on the player It looks ok for me under winuae, that's all i can say. |

I'm not sure the right choice is being made here. Why is the port being based on the ST version when the IIGS version clearly has far superior graphics?

meynaf - great stuff on your site, but any chance of some screenshots to give a hint of what they look like? Off topic but given the nature of conversion, did a Prince of Persia port from the MAC ever get converted to Amiga. The MAC version had by the far the best graphics. |

Looks like the Apple IIGS title screen looks better than the ST version? Or maybe I just suck at appreciating fine art.

Uninitialised memory maybe ?
There is something special about the images used here, maybe they have bad encoding, maybe they use a slightly different one, i dunno. Not enough knowledge about .PC1 to really check them. Quote:
But what you did looks great Quote:

And the title screen shows a scene that exists later in the intro in the ST version as well. No loss here. Besides, several graphics are simply missing from the Apple IIGS version so this alone rules it out. |

As I didn't wanted to mix the palette and the size with a screen-shoot, I looked for a program to extract the ALOGO.PC1 from the 1st disk. Found FloImg102. Then with XnConvert, converted to *.PNG to modify it on PC. Actually XnConvert has no option to convert the *.PNG back to *.PC1. If there is an option, I didn't see it... Can you advise me a program to convert back to *.PC1 ? Here is what I can call the final PNG. |

Nothing that i know of will directly perform such a conversion. But i could manage to do it, here's how :
- First viewed the image on my Amiga picture viewer, which accepts PNG. - Then grabbed the image as IFF with some screen grabber (e.g. Quickgrab). - I noticed the image was 256 colors so i ran PPaint to reduce it to 16 (only 16 were really used, actually even less). - Under PPaint i compared the color palettes and found the one in your image was too dark. I fixed this. - Then saved that to some PC dir as IFF. - Then ran Hatari with DPaint, loaded the IFF, saved as PC1. - Got back the PC1 and tried it with my program. It works ! I'm not asking you to do the same as above, you don't have my version of the game to check if the palette is right. So a similar PNG for the credits page will be ok. Seems so ! Thanks for your good work. Now if i can have the credits page as well, everything will be fine (but it looks simple enough so i could eventually even do it myself). Don't forget to get the texts from the Zone if you haven't already |
