Purple Dragon
I was a bit confused while working on my A2000 today because the boot menu cursor had changed to a purple dragon. I had no idea what to make of it, and it took me a good while to find the answer:
"A purple dragon pointer replaces the normal OS pointer in the Amiga Early Startup Control Screen (boot menu) when the AmigaOS system date is set to March 30th" Source of answer with screen shot: http://www.gregdonner.org/workbench/wb_39.html |

I had the same, had been fiddling with my A1200 during the evening, booting into early-startup quite often, and suddenly I had a purple dragon - just past midnight
