A1200 Trapdoor
Hoping to get an ACA 1221 card very soon for my A1200. Only problem is that I have lost my expansion trap door (don't ask....no idea how I 'lost' it!!!).
Didn't see anything on Ebay or Amigakit so had a quick look at getting a custom 3D printed one (no idea of cost yet). If not if anyone can let me know where I can can get a cheap one (say up to £5.00 +pp...after all it is only a piece of plastic and I know how much some people charge for things with the 'Amiga' prefix...... ££££ ) I guess I could use it without one, but think protecting the ACA 1221 would be a priority. |

If you really want one then ebay or amibay probably.
BUT I doubt I would bother unless it bothered me from a stylistic point of view. I cant see how it would risk damage to the card, which is way smaller than a blizzard for example. If I was running a Blizzard I would leave the trapdoor off anyway. I dont think from a functional point of view its an issue to worry about. |

There is a 3d file for a vented trapdoor on Thingiverse, you could have a service print one or if you have a friend with a 3d printer they could print you one.
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:376267 ABS sands nice and is fairly easy to make decent looking. |

You should back this project up, the lowest tier includes a trapdoor:

I imagine even a simple one-off 3D printed trapdoor would be silly money That's a bit annoying because someone has already gone to the trouble of designing one for free and, come on, just how much does the raw material cost. Seen companies charge £££'s even for simple plastic parts. Maybe in a few years we can all buy one-off parts at sensible prices |

I usually buy these for 10 EUR a piece. Come in two colours: white and grey.
