The funny thing is that it was already mentioned on EAB in 2001:

Apparently, it can even run (badly in 2009) under emulation:

If anyone has more info, I'd be interested to know how things happened with this conversion.

Did Stewart Gilray (the author of the port) first coded the conversion and then asked/negotiated the rights with DI? Or was he asked by DI to work on it?

Also, I wonder how they managed to get DI to allow its free distribution nowadays. As far as I am aware that is not the case of the Amiga version
