IGame pack and A-Games on DH1

Hi there!

Just setting up the new version of CWB ADV on my spare 020 A1200, all my games are on DH1 and I want to use the Igame screen shots pack.

If I copy/replace the games directory (that just contains the Igame data no games) from DH0 to DH1 and 'overwrite' all will it damage any of the WHDLoad games I have installed on DH1? All I want to do is add all the Igame iff files to my DH1 if that makes sense? Assume thats how I get it to work?

Sorry, my noobishness getting out again!

Steve.

Try it yourself on one directory first or in WinUAE. ;)

I have no doubt that it will simply place the iff files into the same name game directories and not affect anything else already there.

Thanks buddy for the super speedy response! its like you were waiting for my question!

I will try on the 0-9's first ;)

By the way nice work on the updated assign feature, much faster to set up games from DH1 now :)

It was the first time I'd visited EAB all day - you were just lucky!

I've had a family crisis over the last week and that's why I haven't been around here much, or the EAB UT gaming server. :(

Hope the family crisis is all sorted? We should defo get on the gaming server this weekend as much as we can since it could be the last weekend!

Thanks for the concern; we are still dealing with the shock, but everything is ok now. :)

Thanks BW, copied the games from DH0-DH1 (staring with 0-9 to be sure) all seems to be fine.

Steve.

Edit.

Put the HDD back in My Amiga - It works! Now I have Igame screen shots :)

Wooooooooooooo!

You're a ledge Bloodwych :bowdown

is there a link that still works for the screenshots-pack?
would love to get it... :agree

Bloodwych 08 January 2010 18:49

Credit for the original pack goes to OddbOd, remembering that all the hardwork for the actual screenshots are from the Gamebase maintainers - mainly Belgarath, also KG and eLowar I think:

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=35340

I played around with optimizing them for the ClassicWB packs - size, speed of rendering, quality, appearence in both low and high colour Workbenches:

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=46806

Currently, there is no download link for a separate pack and OddbOb links are down in that first thread it seems. If people want to pull out the two packs (PAL/NTSC optimized in the FULL, Hires optimized in the ADV and above) and place them on magix's EAB file server they are welcome to.

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43633 <- server. :)

Thanks Bloodwych. I have pulled from CWB and uploaded 2 IGame screen shot packs to the file server, low res and high res versions as suggested.

They will be in User/Fitzsteve/ but I think they need to be activated first as I cannot see them yet?

Steve.

Oh, nice one fitzsteve. Sure many people will appreciate it.

Thanks steve.

Shame we have to wait for it to be approved!!

fitzsteve 08 January 2010 22:33

No problem guys. I sent a PM to Graham humphrey first and if gave the ok to upload so hopefully it wont be long.

Graham Humphrey 09 January 2010 00:37

I assume you are waiting for me to approve them for download but, er, I've cocked up big time in that I have lost my login details. It's been so long since I have used this so you're probably going to have to wait for TCD or Damien to do it.

Many apologies :o
