The Killing Game Show requested as IPF

Hello,

I need IPFs of the uncracked discs since mine are no more readable for 100%. Often the loading stocks or the second disc is no longer accepted.

Look under Psygnosis, this MFM with weak bits is a hard one but I`ve seen IPFs before I got my Kryo.

Anybody can help me?

Don't know who did it, but I do know that Keir's excellent open source disk-analyse was used to do the job.

A tool I use every so often myself.

Looking for a Version which installs via WHDLOAD. Up until now I didn't find even one that is compatible.
Can someone help?

I made my 'unofficial' IPF's in 2015 just for my personal use from my original UK release, both disks work fine in the v1.2 slave in WHDLoad so you either have bad images, an unsupported version or using cracked ADF's!!

Drake008@ 16 November 2020 08:59

COuld you share these IPF files?

They are on the Amiga File Server i.e: Non TOSEC IPFs - Unofficial ;)

Thank you very much :)

Hello, written back to disc the second disc is not accepted by the first swap. My original discs are still not working.

if your disks are not working, writing back the IPF of the game won't solve a thing.

Because the root problem is your disks, not the IPF.

Your disks are most probably mouldy and need a clean up. By writing on dirty disks, you have also contaminated your drive heads.

Galahad/FLT 12 October 2021 13:21

As denis suggested, disks might be dirty, so try writing disk 2 to a known good disk and see if it works from there.

Already tried, no better result.

without good disk (clean ones), you will have no success in writing back.

vbgd 18 October 2021 08:55

I`ve used new disks and a clean drive to write already. My hardware is in very good condition. I think the reason is that this MFM-Images are inofficial. They work on emulation but not on real hardware.

they do. I wrote them back successfully.

Retroplay 18 October 2021 13:42

It could be the floppy drive used to write the ipfs back.

Some years ago, a user on this board requested me to write Snow Bros ipf back to floppy with KryoFlux (because cracked versions have some issues).
It didn't work if I wrote it with my Sony MPF-920-L but it did work with my ALPS DF394H911C drive.
Try another drive because mileage may vary on some games.

vbgd 19 October 2021 10:39

Ok, I`m using a nearly new and clean Sony MPF-920 here too. I`ll check out an ALPS.
