Where can I get the original music files?

Hi,

Is there any place you can get Amiga music files from that would load into a tracker like Octamed or ReNoise?

Most sites I have searched seem to just play the entire song. I more want to see each note in my tracker.

Any help appreciated.

wow! That was easy - Thanks man.

Im taking it I just open the files I download from this site with ReNoise?

I assume ReNoise can handle MOD files (mod.*), so you can open them directly. Most of the other formats (if not all) won't work with ReNoise though. You should have a look which formats are supported.

ok thanks mate

np and share your remixes ;) :great
Btw : For the real overkill grab 'Misc/Music/Other/Amiga_GameMusic.rar' on the EAB file server (http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=43633). Over 16,000 files :)

Just a quick note, ReNoise won't play all the Amiga mod files correctly, the best thing to use is either OctaMED or ProTracker within WinUAE.

You could also try Skale Tracker http://www.skale.org/ I believe this was designed with Amiga mods in mind and it plays them pretty well, much better than ReNoise can + it's completely free, unfortunately it's no longer being developed :(

Don't mention SkaleTracker :sad :crying ;)
Just for the notes and patterns (I guess that's what he's after), it's okay to import them in ReNoise, but of course don't expect them to be played correct.

Hi guys thanks so much for links and info. Greatly received.

Is there any mass collection of samples and FX ripped from old games.

Of course ill share any remixes gladly. im 37 now and on growing up the Amiga played a huge part. Recycling these old works keeps them alive. Of course Id credit any sample used to help facilitate this.

Mind, thats supposing any remix I ever do is worth listening too haha.

What plays the music from F-15 Strike Eagle II and Clockwiser? I've tried Protracker, OctaMed Soundstudio, Noiseplayer and Winamp.

Also, at the bottom of the Team Hoi saga there's a link to download the Clockwiser music, but the link is broken. Does anyone have it?

DeliTracker/Player or UADE will play them (given you have the correct players for DeliTracker).
