I have "out of memory" message with 8MB of chip ram but not with 2MB of chip ram + 8MB fast ram.

Those with problems, have you tried to run it from the with no startup-sequence without setpatch and nothing.

There is this preview Amiga Future, I can not translate

Yes I did, and it never works. Pressing fire never works!

If that can be useful to anyone, here is an attempt at using it:
Code:

I don't see anything really useful IMO. Perhaps I have not set the program very well. Feel free to suggest anything and I'll try when I can.

Amiga1992 12 November 2012 11:11

Well it failed on many aspects, like receiving input. This does seem useful! Someone savvy with code may be able to help.

Retroplay 12 November 2012 14:15

To those of you having problems starting the game.
DO NOT extract it using a Windows application such as 7z/WinRAR to a mounted folder.
It failed to start for me too when I did that.

Use lha on Amiga or emulated Amiga and extract to an Amiga formatted partition waaaay clear of fat/ntfs drives.

Amiga1992 12 November 2012 14:27

All right, got it to work!

Sorry but this is totally untrue. Is working fine now on my SD card on my Amiga and on WinUAE with a folder mounted as dir.

You just need to extract on the Amiga side. Many times, out of convenience, I don't.

So only extraction on Amiga side needed then (in this case). :)
There have been examples of games going down the drain in the past due to fat/ntfs issues (and zip).

Amiga1992 12 November 2012 14:47

Those just seem unpacking issues, totally unrelated to FAT volumes. There's no reason it should make any difference (except on rally long filenames that don't adhere to amiga standards, which is something that doesn't happen if you are already dealing with Amiga files)

im guessing theres a executable for this.

Is this the right one?
http://aminet.net/package/util/arc/lha

I put this into my program folder but i've got no idea how to use it. Let alone using it to unzip the game.
Please can you give a breif description on how to do this?
Thanx

Retroplay 12 November 2012 18:06

Copy LhA to C and open shell and type "lha e (archive).lha".
http://aminet.net/package/util/arc/lha_68k

Version 2.15 is in the zone.

trydowave 12 November 2012 19:51

I am doing this on Winuae btw not on a real amiga. I put the zipped lha 68k into my D drive where i have created virtual drives for the Amiga on Winuae. My program folder (or drive) is called DH1.
When I opened shell and followed your instructions it didnt work. I tried changing the letter from c to others but that didnt either. Probarbly completely doing the wrong thing.

Toni Wilen 12 November 2012 19:58

Simply mount the lha as a harddrive in WinUAE (drag and drop it over WB window or add it to harddrives panel) and copy all files inside emulation using shell or any file manager.

Amiga1992 12 November 2012 22:45

You can mount an LHA as a hard drive? :O
I didn't know that, pretty neat!

trydowave 12 November 2012 23:46

Cheers Toni. Very simple in the end. That shell stuff always confused me even back when I owned the A500.
The game is very nice. Shame it wasn’t completed. Just wondering. Is it AGA only? It has a limited colour palette which is anime stylised (which I like). There’s tons of parallax though, so I was wondering if OCS/ECS could handle this?

Codetapper 13 November 2012 03:45

It's AGA only as it uses dual playfield mode with 16 colours in each.

Send a message to Alkaron (amigaworld registered user) and another message to the portal SAFIR.
Little hope of answers, let alone a more advanced version and preserved.:rolleyes
Maybe someone closer and known to them might try to contact.:help

vitux 13 November 2012 22:03

I just received SAFIR moderator response, it seems that Zik (Erik Gustavsson) will respond to this thread :spin

lilalurl 14 November 2012 08:27

Good work!

lesta_smsc 14 November 2012 11:55

Looks like a spin-off Wonder Boy and Zelda! lol ... We need to get the full version released!
