Gotek with HxC firmware and file selector - truncation

I just picked up a Gotek with an OLED screen and the flashfloppy firmware - if I run it in "headless" mode the long filenames are displayed and scroll, but naviagtion is really slow.

If I use the file selector mode and put HxC AUTORUN.HFE on there, navigation is much better but the filenames get truncated when you save & reboot, so they aren't scrolled during navigation.

Is there a special firmware / file selector supporting long filenames or some way to make them appear?
