I have all my original ascii's unfortunately everything else is new.

Telnet nodes are at 19200, I think there is issues with anything higher.
Set your baud to 19200 and you should be fine.

I tried it after calling my favourite C64 BBS's, clearly trying to call it using CGterm is not a good idea. I managed to switch of the ANSI code which made it more readable, but next time I'll call using telnet via DOS prompt - should provide an easier experience

In the last 3 years I have gone from calling 1 BBS (on a PCjr to help someone test his TCP/IP code) to calling a dozen each month!!!

Theres easily 100 BBS's up and running now if you look in the right places - 30 or so just for the C64 alone (some on real hardware, some emulated on PC's/laptops).

Mtelnet is the best telnet software for the bbs experience that I have used so far.
Syncterm is #2 and has mouse support.

Juicessh for my android works really well.

Syncterm has a nice screen size compared to mtelnet, the only issue I had is crc errors when uploading. Downloading was fine, but uploading was an issue.

Found a better telnet program called netrunner, which allows batch uploads.

Never worked at Compusa.
