Pinball Dreams, cannot start table

After selecting a table and loading it, I can't start the table itself ie. the game. Whatever keyboard I press, nothing happens. Tried clicking the mouse or joystick button.

What gives?

^^Already tried. I noticed my CAPSLOCK was dead the moment the table shows up.

If you are using WinUAE try 'cycle exact' option. If it's real Amiga but 1200 try downgrader.

^^Well, I tried booting thru ECS but it didn't do the trick. Pinball Fantasies, Illusions and Slamtilt work fine though.

There was unofficial version with 6 tables but I think you need hard drive to play.

ECS chipset won't help you since it isn't a chipset related problem. Can't check yet but the keyboard routine in Pinball Dreams probably only works correctly on 68000 CPU's. You could try the WHDLoad version, it should work properly.

What were the additional 2 tables?

Additional tables were from Pinball Fantasies.

Check the zone, i uploaded a copy of the 8 Table Pinball Loader that can be run from hd.

You can simply start a table from the custom menu, Hope that helps!

Try disabling CPU cache in Early startup menu.

I've never had any problems running Pinball Dreams on an A1200. And I just booted it up using an A1200 on WinUAE and not had this issue. Strange one!

first of all, THANKS for your great compilation, is really funny ad awesome to have Pinball Dreams and Pinball Fantasies tables on one compilation!
But i have an issue: all tables loads and works well except table 3 (Pinball Dreams: Beat Box), that show only black screen on load...
Any solution about this issue, so i can enjoy this great table, too?

I've forgot to say, i tried your package (extracted data from it with unlzx.exe) on my Home PC with WinUAE 2.6.1 with Workbench 3.1 installed and everything works well, loader and tables, except for Beat Box...

Hi Kegan,
about your issue, try to disable any kind of controller (keyboard, mouse, joystick) on both Port 1 and Port 2 options in Game ports section of WinUAE, this should fix your issue (i had the same your issue, too, on past, and this action does the trick for me, i hope for you, too!

Edit:
Only a little correction: you have to disable (setting to None) only Port 2, and keyboard on game playing should work correctly!

Hi! I didn't actually make this myself, i found it on the net a while back. Credit goes to the original authors whoever they were, i simply passed on the file that i found that's all!

As for your beat box table problem, i am not sure why it's doing that as it plays fine on both my A1200 and A600.
Maybe try extract it again a fresh and see what happens, and make sure to extract it on a real amiga or in a real amiga environment.

Apart from that i have no idea mate!

Ok, i find the solution: on my usual WinUAE settings (made for Amiga CD games, that requires more powerful Hardware), i changed CPU from 68060 to 68020, and now Beat Box table works like a charm!
It's very strange that all other tables works well and only this table freezes - for this i thought that could be a corrupted file inside lzx archive or extraction error - with emulated cpu 68060, but this is the trick!
