Looking for a run and gun game

Hello everyone,

Im looking about a game but i can't remember it's name.

It was a run and gun game just like dogs of war for example, but with futuristic weapons, it was very violent and the graphics were much more advanced than dogs of war.

We were playing this game on an Amiga 500.

it is not chaos engine .

Thanks a lot if you can help me, i've been searching a while in amiga games lists but never could remember the name.

sure it was amiga, at this time we played it with a friend, we only had amiga 500, 1200 and 2000 but for playing we only used the 500.

I think it was between 92 and 96 at the same time we were playing Fire force, moonstone, fire and ice etc...

Looks pretty the same as Mercs but it was more colorful and bloody and you could pick up power ups.

Did the game scroll in one direction only like Commando or like Mercs 8 way? Were you killing other people or other cyborgs?

Can you answer the scrolling question please? If we know it's a vertical only shooter that'll narrow things down a lot! And were you looking down on the characters, or kind of above and behind? What kind of weapon did you start with?

I think it was just vertical scrolling, you had some kind of big blue balls plasma cannon and other weapons.

I remeber my friends mother yelling at us, she didnt want us to play this game because of its violence. I know that wont help you but thats just a fun remembrance.

Time Soldier?

http://www.lemonamiga.com/games/details.php?id=2938

It looks like a conversion of the arcade game, and although I can't see any in the screen shots of the Amiga version, one of the weapons in the arcade was indeed a biggy blue blobby shooter.

And also consider the possibility that you may be confused about the platform or the game description. Some times our mind plays tricks on us with such old memories

The elements given could match Shock Troopers (1997 for the Neo Geo version):
