Big grin New filter for WinUAE?

http://blogoscoped.com/blownup/

Not a fan of using filters of any kind, but DAMN, this looks freaky.
Picasso would be proud.

Learn D3D shader code (plugins\filtershaders\direct3d *.fx shader code text files) and write it yourself

What does this 'learn' word mean?

Excuse me while me and the other cavemen go looking for food

I'm just gonna put this here because we're talking of shaders, I'm not asking or anything: http://imgur.com/a/gRXPJ

I wonder how this effect would work with Amiga games

The algorithm is too demanding to be used in real time, and it doesn't always look as good on fullscreen animated graphics as it does in the examples that show smaller sprites that have been neatly cut out.

There are some videos on the researchers webpage that show some examples of what animated input looks like after being processed.

Hmm, I guess that's some bad news.

Looked at the SMW video, and it looked kinda good, even if it felt sluggish. Oh well, it was an interesting concept nonetheless

Heres an interesting shader effect introduced in latest mame. Tries to emulate a crt on lcd. http://forum.pleasuredome.org.uk/ind...dpost&p=153387

Ive tried it in mame and it works quite well, scanlines, flicker and moire effects Interested to see if it can be applied to amiga games.

I love filters, the HQ3 (from MAME) is great and makes old 8 bit VGA games like DOTT look really nice on my HD LCD, in fact it turns into into a cartoon.
