Does anyone have access to a water cutter ?
Hi All,
Kind of a weird request but i was bidding on one of those A1200 elbox CPU towers and the bidding got really ridiculous so my question is... Does anyone have access to a water cutter to make the A1200 back panel so that a generic cutout template of the A1200 rear connections can be made so we can use a generic cheap PC case. I'm not sure what the interest level would be like here for this, but i'm pretty sure there are people who would grab one or two. maybe a manuacturer could produce some at a reasonable cost |

Funnily enough i was thinking about this earlier tonight...with cheap cases to be had at just £10 new.....you should in theory get a batch made cheaply enough and judging by what they go for new or 2nd hand...you would have enough custom.
Amigakits towers are overpriced in my opinion. (not a dig at Amigakit..they provided an excellent overall service) |

Absolutely brilliant idea. The price of all Amiga towers is beyond ridiculous.

Please be realistic.
There is no way you can manufacture a custom Amiga backplate for a tower cheaper than the EZ Z4 Tower price unless you manufacture tens of thousand units or more. You are comparing £10 ATX towers that are mass produced with thousands of units for the PC market in China with the small niche Amiga market. The time required to assemble 1x EZ tower costs more than £10 alone. |
