NTSC A500 RGB to VGA/RCA/S-Video Converter?

Hello everyone,

I have been lurking for some time now. At this point my main interest is getting video out of my 500 to my LCD Monitor. I would like an internal solution, but external is not ruled out. I've seen several options listed on fleabay and have followed the various hardware mods. What I'd like to get is a general consesus on what would be the best/cheapest option.

This is on the table: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...lenotsupported

As well as this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...lenotsupported
with a A520 Adapter, since the A500 rca video output is mono only

I am sure there are other options I'm not aware of. Suggestions?

A520 output is pure crap.

Better get a LCD TV screen who supports vertical refresh of 50Hz and hook the Amiga to it via the VGA input. Some cheap chinese LCD ones do this, even wide screen units.

I am sure after twenty some odd years. As I remember wasn't that good to begin with.

I thought about that, but I am trying to use a orphaned LCD monitor a HANNS-G HW191DPB. Regardless I still have to get the signal from the 500 to the VGA input. That seems to be missing part right now.

Definitely interesting. Still have to get the S-Video/RCA to VGA. That seems to be where my problem is right now.

For LCD TV sets that have a vGA input, just use the good, old silver box C= use to supply with multisync monitors, or do your version: Aminet have it: is that hack with only a 74LS08 in it.
