1081 Cable Actually a SCART Cable?
Ok, this must seem like a really silly question, but I must ask anyway.
I was reading a thread today where somebody said something like "SCART cable, not Amiga cable". This got me thinking...is the output on the "SCART" end of my 1081 cable (where it plugs into the monitor) really SCART, or just the same plug? The poster was obviously not a first language English speaker & I had to "decifer" a lot of what he was saying (no offence if you are reading this). One other thing. LCD TVs with SCART connectors also work with Amiga output signal right? Pretty sure from all the reading done that is correct, but no harm in asking I suppose, since it is somewhat related to the main question above PZ. |

monitor with scart input will accept signal directly, while some (probably all new models) TVs needs voltage feeds on some pins for switching to RGB mode.
thats only difference imo. |

Thanks for that Chain
So I would be best off making a new cable if using a TV by the sounds of it. PZ. |
