Problem installing Chuck Rock IPF WHDLoad

Hello,

I have found some IPF games like Chuck Rock and I wanted to install it on my HD under WinUAE and then on my real Amiga.
Then I have found another Chuck Rock on http://www.whdownload.com/.
1)What is the difference from my IPF Chuck Rock and the one fond on this site http://www.whdownload.com/.? inside there is disk 1 and disk 2
2)So I realized I need the WDLoad and downloaded the USR package form
http://www.whdload.de/.
I created a folder on my PC and added to WINUae with inside Chuckrom,ChuckRock.info and WHDload adn WHDLoad.info.
But when I click on WHDLoad it says " unable to run your tool installer " !!!

What should I do?

Please help me installing this game on my HD under WinUAE.

Hi Dannypet,

you need the installer program from here (Installer44.10.zip). Put it in your c directory. Then you can run Chuck Rock

The one on whdownload.com has already been installed using the ipf, so there's no need to install it again.

Hi dannypet,

IIRC that is a address error. What kickstart and workbench version are you using? Does it happen with WinUAE or on a real Amiga?

I am using KS 2.0 and WB 20.0

So What do I need?

Do you try it with a real Amiga? If not, do what Toni suggested. You could also try to use kickstart and workbench 3.0, but I'm not sure if that will help with the problem. I'm using the 3.0 setup and didn't have this problem.

Yes it works perfectly now!

But I am wondering what is the difference between games found on the
site http://www.whdownload.com/ and all the IPF I have downloaded.
The games found on that site have been installed with just one click
it would be the same with IPF?

That are the 2 things I'd like to know know,

There's a difference. The files from whdownload.com have already been installed, so you just need to copy them to your HD or mount them in WinUAE. If you want to use the IPF's you need to get the WHDLoad installer for that game. You can find them here : http://www.whdload.de/download.html
When you run the installer you need the IPF's to install the game to your HD.
So it's really easier to get the packs from whdownload.com

An ipf is a disk image, behaving identical to a real disk with copy-protection etc.
The whd packs are pre-installed from the disk images - or from real disks.
