Question What is your Blizzard 1230 MK4 sysinfo score?

Hello!

I get the following score on my 1230/MK4 , someone at amiga.org says he gets 9472 Dhrystones, is he correct? I only score 8832

what sysinfo gives you?

Use CLI "cpu cache burst" to enable data cache bursts and run again

Or use author of SysInfo, Nic Wilson's CPUSet

Why not just press the dburst button in the lower right corner?

Do those buttons do that? Cool.

The CLI commands will come in handy if you want to add it to your startup-sequence.

Judging from your grab you don't have kickstart in your fast ram

Is the jumper on the MK4 set to MAPROM the kickstart?

Otherwise try the cli command CPU FASTROM

I know I have some gay CPU command on my A1200 + MKIV which has the CPU FASTROM command + some CACHE BURST stuff also but I have to check that up since I haven't used it for a while

Also check that exec.library is in 32bit RAM

I think I have it jumpered to fastram AmigaZ... the only jumper I closed on the board was the one that changes the RAM ns from 70 to 60...

If you manage to get kickstart, exec.library + fastram + turn on all caches you'll be set to beat that guy

try CPU CACHE BURST FASTROM in CLI and see what happens

Keropi, why does your kickstart version say v24.1213? That's pre KS1.0

Shouldn't it say v40.68? Like Magnoboots?

Also the address range, for a 512K ROM it should be at $00F80000 if it is ROM and yours reads $001F0000.

That's a strange address. 64Kbytes before the end of chip RAM!

Maybe be a bug in SysInfo caused because you have MAPROM enabled? Anyone explain this?

I have no idea about what you say alexh....
I just installed 3.9 , then upgraded it with a beta 3.9_ClassicWB and just use it... all partitions are SFS and there is copper running in the background...
will do some tests now...

OK, did some tests (dburst makes no real difference btw)

normal cwb_3.9 with copper disabled: 9252 Dhrystones
"safe mode" cwb_3.9 : 9473 Dhrystones

dunno about kickstart version though, maybe some degrading tool resident in CWB?

workbench about reports: 3.9 ROM , kickstart version 45.57 , wb version 45.3

Could it be that there's a "kick to fast" type of sw installed that isn't quite working.. If you use maprom on phase5 cards, it overlays some RAM on top of the kickstart, as far as I can remember.

It also seems your interrupt vectors are in chipmem... (VBR = $0) although this shouldn't affect your CPU score getting your VBR into fastram is a tweak every speedfreak will need
