[Found: Thunder Blade, Trailblazer, Super Probotector] 3 Amiga games+1 SNES
The SNES game is a shooter, not sure if I asked about it before. It's a shooter, clouds fly by at terrific speed in the background and one of the bosses has arms made up of a bunch of balls with claws at the end which it uses to climb T-bar constructions (like on building construction sites. Colors: metal/grey and copper/orange Very tech/cyber/japanese kind of style.
Anyway: looking for 3 Amiga games: 1. Top down shooter arcade conversion where building are displayed as rectangles in alternating shades of grey, in perspective. I think after a while it changes to another perspective, but you fly a chopper if I recall correctly. Should be easy, was a big title back in about 1989. 2. Trailblazer (c64) conversion with checkerboards in perspective and the player controlling a ball bouncing along at very high speed, you have to jump at the right time to avoid falling into space and some square colors slow you down/speed you up or forces a jump. 3. Bounder (c64) conversion. Surely there was only for Amiga? I've looked on hol, but since "only" the name eludes me it's difficult to search. Any ideas for names on any of the names, or what to search for in HOL would be greatly appreciated! Oh. And happy Halloween guys Last edited by Photon; 30 December 2007 at 18:31. |

Wow, I remember playing this cool game on my C64
Sort of similar games on the Amiga I guess are: ... Bouncer (5th Dimension) ... Cosmic Bouncer ... RollerBall ... Space Baller |

Jump'n'roll looks closest to what I remember, but is there a splitscreen mode? I think I remember that. Will simply check that out. Bounder: Cosmic Bouncer looks closest, will try it. Lovely! |

There isn't in Jump 'n' Roll. However there is a PD conversion of the original Trailblazer that does have a split-screen mode so maybe that's the one you mean? It's on an Assassins disk (30-something, I can't remember what one right now).

OK, bro came over for xmas, playing Gunsmoke atm
He would still like me to find that SNES shooter - he remembers driving a jeep also, with a mounted gun. And one of the bosses was a huge turtle. Any takers? I'd love the answer to this! Even though the game was great, I don't think it was a "household" game name - and it was not one of the first ones, probably came around or after when Super Star Wars came. Alternately, a link to a site with screenshots that is fairly complete would be appreciated! |

Didn't Gunstar Heroes have a jeep section in it?

Thanks for answers guys I did say it was a SNES game, right?
To recap: SNES (mostly) horiz. shooter, fly through clouds, bosses: turtle, "Dr. Octopus" type mech clambering over a beam construction. Current research indicates it might be a jap import (eng menus) from 1994. European release. I check the shooters on MobyGames. Anyone know like a .rar of .jpegs of "all" SNES games, that I could scroll through with my ACDSee? Then it would be ez street. |

...but even though having a standard graphics file extension, last time I checked they were only viewable from LusSpace for some strange reason. |

Graham, indeed it seems to be the one! Will test further tomorrow... thanks!
DamienD: Was able to download without registration, however encountered the same problems as you. None of my viewers or browsers nor Photoshop was able to show it. If someone makes a .png that is unviewable anywhere, I say they have a mental problem. :P Anyone else know the one!? Playing Amiga games still but will check out Gunstar Heroes as soon as there is a lapse in nostalgia activies |

hey Janusz, let me know if you find a way to browse them without clicking back and forth, or showing the directory as thumbnails!
