Unhappy Blood money load up problem.

Hi There,
I recently bought blood money on ebay and for th rlife of me can't load the second disk as it does not prompt me. I have the Amiga 500 plus,
which I presume has enough memory fro this game. This is very frustrating as
I can't wait to play it. My joysticks work on both ports as I have used them with Golden Axe, IK+ etc, so it's not that. Any advise would be greatly
appreciated.

The Beaks.

Maybe you need switch + kickstart 1.3

The A500+ was usually shipped with a Kickstart 2 ROM. Blood Money was written for Kickstart 1.3 and therefore may not be compatible with Kickstart 2. The only way around this if this is the case is to either fit a Kickstart 1.3 ROM in a ROM switcher, or get a degrader disk which would run temporaily a copy of 1.3 for you to boot and play the game. It may well be something else though of course such as a faulty disk.

He's suggesting it might have a problem with the 2.04 ROM installed in the A500+. His solution is too install a rom swapper and a 1.3 ROM so you can flick between versions.

OR

You could try a special disk called "Relokick" that makes your Amiga pretend to have a 1.3 ROM and sometimes tricks the game into working.

Does your A500+ have the standard 1MB of RAM or is there any extra memory installed in the trapdoor underneath? Some older (and badly coded games) assume there is extra memory in the trapdoor.

You say it doesn't prompt you for disk2.. what happens? Does it hang? Fail to load up properly?

Hi,
All response's are greatly appreciated. The game keeps looping the music
over and over on the first disk. The yellow drive light is constant

I'm really new to all of the technical side, but I am quite sure it has just 1 meg.

I had similiar problem when my floppy disk drive was malfunctioned. Some disk loading routines were not able to work properly and I had to replace the drive. Since then nothing similiar has happened. I could not play in Blood Money, F17 Challenge and some other games (don't recall all names but these two I remember clearly). Though I have A500, not A500+.
