Thylacine USB Zorro card....is it good?

Hi I am looking at buying the Thylacine zorro II usb card.

It is priced at 90 AUD which is only £36 (according to XE)

It has only 1 usb 1.1 port but that can be made better by sticking a 4way usb hub on it right?

http://thylacine.boing.net/ is the homepage of it.

I have never heard anything about it until I googled and it showed up. It says it uses the poseidon keyfile etc and you can buy it with the keyfile included for 117AUD.

I have emailed them with the questions...

£36 for usb card seems great!

It says nearly all hubs, mice and keyboards work but do memory sticks work ok?

Would it work ok with a micronik z-3i busboard?

Thanks

Yes, any device which is recognised a massstorage works fine: memory sticks, memory card readers, ZIP drives, external HDDs, most (but not all) digital cameras etc.

Some drives need some tweaking to make them work because they don't fully comply with the massstorage standard, but Poseidon has so many options that you can make almost every device work.

The Thylacine also comes with its own USB stack which is now used as USB stack for OS4. But if it is similar to what OS4 has, then it's nothing compared to Poseidon.

If it works with the z-3i rev 5.43 I will definately buy one.

I have emailed them asking but I doubt they would know.

I could always buy one and if it doesnt work sell it back on ebay for a similar price just to get my money back.

Chances are, you could sell it on eBay UK and make a profit
I considered one for my A2000, but didn't really need USB, now my life IS PCI enriched I can get USB for much less, but I'd still be interested to know how you get on for when I can bring the 2000 out of hibernation, and maybe get a proper graphics card for it, and an accelerator that works reliably.
