DPS PAR compatible drives, please help!

Can anyone tell me what big drives are compatible with PAR board?
In latest sw readme in release 2.55 (or 2.57?) is list of compatible drives, but those are really small drives (1-2gig max), and i want to use at least 4 gig (8 will be really better

I ve tried a plenty of old spare drives (Caviars from 1.6gig, thru 2.1 gig, 4.3 gig, 13 gig quantum etc. etc.) but none of them works

PARTest seems to be stuck at last testing thingy, it says something like "Write error, drive is not compatible".

(i have two PAR cards (rev 4 and rev 6, both are PAL verisons, but its the same on both)
