What was the Amigas Mascot?

Nintendo has a fat little plumber and SEGA had a blue hedgehog but what (if any) was the Amiga most recognisable character?

Was it really Zool like they tried to make us believe back then? or was it something different?

Also, if you could have any mascot from any machine, what would it be?

Personally Id have chosen Zelda. What brilliant games.

hmmm *ponder ponder*

Erm....

The Amiga mascot, I'd say not Zool, although being an amiga icon he couldn't really be THE mascot. Both Sonic and Mario where exclusives to their repsective platforms (at the time at least) where as Zool never was. In fact I really can't think of a decent mascot. I'd rather have Ruff from Ruff'n'Tumble because he was cool, but he doesn't deserve or suit mascot status.

Any mascot from any machine.... I'd have to say Sonic. Those games were my childhood.

Surely you'd choose link though, not Zelda

The amiga "mascot"?
<--- *points to the left*

I don't remember any "character" mascot, and I really never missed one. But if I were to choose, I'd take Guybrush, even though he's not an Amiga exclusive. Or the little kamikaze-worm from Worms.

A boing ball with legs and arms and some funny eyes would have been great. Pity they never though about it (strange they had the idea about the Amiga Cola )

The Boing Ball (tm).

And since Amiga Inc. didn't release any games themselves, there couldn't be an official mascot in form of a "living creature".

I think Figi got a point

Amiga didn't need a mascot because it was a mascot itself. Only loosers need mascot, like Nintendo ( Fat italian plumber).....

Fuck the boingball, Amikga's original logo was the coloured Checkmark. Boingball = Amiga Inc = yuck

I'd say the Amiga's mascot was the Juggler

And as the most recognizable game character, that is a very good question. People bought amigas for Shadow of the Beast, but that character didn't have lastability IMO. James Pond? Zool? I really wouldn't know!

Not at all...The boing ball was one of the very early
Amiga demos. Much earlier than the Juggler.

And check this out.

I demand that Angelina Jolie becomes the official Amiga mascot. Sexy as hell, slightly mad and smooth all over - a bit like the Amiga

Not as sexy as Rattus... Angelina (TR) don't have anything to do with the Amiga...

For me the first image that beat the <censored> out of other platforms in 1985 was the intro screen from 'the pawn' the wizard on the bridge...

as for the mascot, not that we ever needed or wanted one (must be an American thing),

1st place goes to the boing ball,

2nd place to the tutankamon (I know it's probably mis-spelled, but closer than spelling it 'tooting common') dpaint image, I know of 2 people that saw that image on screen in a shop window and went in and bought an amiga right away (rich <censored>)

3rd place to the juggler...
