i hate to say this, but somehow you just know when a source code is available for an top notch original AMiga game like Turrican 3, a change, is like rewriting a movie. Suddenly all the cast has changed, the music, and even the script to some extent o the point it is now longer the game you liked,...
It's completely different. I would have felt better if some one else took over the license than make it available to download so anyone can modify it how they see fit.. It basically is saying, "We don't care anymore about a great Amiga game, so if you screw it up, don't blame us" I can just feel it coming. Mainly because the code was never available previously is the point. |

Turrican III Source Code
I didn't like turrican 3 at all.. I must admit i only ever played the first few minutes of it i didn't like the rope type thing at all. Loved the first two although.. Maybe I should give it another go.
Edit: Actually i just watched a long play .. I don't like its graphic design, nor its music. It has a real console feel about it.. Last edited by Vot; 24 November 2014 at 09:06. |

Turrican 3 is actually my favourite of the series. I do agree that the rope thing sucks though, being able to rotate your gun like in Turrican 2 would have been much better.

Now I did enjoy turrican 3 back in the day but yes its largely inspired by contra the alien wars on snes.
The rope thing is damn frustrating to use but the game is not so difficult and I still have a soft spot for it. Its more like a console game for sure though. The music is still ace though. |
